Precambrian Time
What was the Precambrian Time. The Precambrian Time is the first era in earth’s history it is known as the age of early life. This era started 4.6 billion years ago and ended 542 million years ago. The climate in the Precambrian Time varied widely. It flip flopped from cold periods to very warm periods. During the hotter climates, mats, or mounds of algae called stromatolites grew in Glacier National Park. Some other important facts that happened in the Precambrian time had glaciers form at the equator during a ice age it was so cold.as the Pan african ocean and Panthalassic ocean. At this time their was only one continent that is called Pangea. At the start of the world there was high temperatures and lava that covered some of the Earth. Then the world cooled down to develop a solid crust. The Pan african ocean and Panthalassic ocean were created by water vapor in the atmosphere. These were are first oceans. The reason the nickname for the Precambrian Time is called the Age of Early Life because there was microscopic bacteria such as Stromatolites and Edicarns. The plants then were just very simple and created from photosynthesis. These varieties of life forms started when they absorbed the sun’s power through a process that lead to simple plants which began animal life. At the end of the Precambrian Time a wide spread of extinctions happened during a Ice age just when they had complex multicelled life forms.

Animals in the Precambrian looked like this but you couldn't exactly see them because they are microscopic.
